While pondering what stands in the way of God’s children consistently spending time in God’s presence, the Holy Spirit reminded me what David wrote in Psalm 8:4. "what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" David seems to express a sense of insignificance to God.
Have you ever felt insignificant and wondered if God really wants to spend time with you?
Does a feeling of insignificance stand in your way of spending time in God’s presence each day?
We might use the excuse that we don’t have time, but I think it may be deeper. It may be that we are not convinced that God wants to be in a personal relationship with us.
God reminded me of three truths. I hope they will speak to your heart.
Freedom isn’t free. We know this. Warriors die fighting for freedom. Some are wounded physically, mentally and emotionally. Families may receive their loved ones back forever changed. Families are forever changed.
My freedom in Christ wasn't free either. It was paid for by the precious blood of my Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered and died for sins once for all--the innocent for the guilty-- to bring us near to God by His body being put to death and by being raised to life by the Spirit. 1Peter 3:18 The Passion Translation (TPT)
I love my freedom in America. And I love my freedom in Christ. What about you?
The freedom to be you is an important part of achieving your dreams and life purpose.
What is it that you really want?
Who do you want to be?
Do you want to feel fully alive?
Do you want the inner freedom to live in love and joy?
One of the most important things in life is who we become. And I have good news. You don’t need to be
burdened by this because you grow by the power of the Holy Spirit to become the person God created you to be.
God’s got this.
God created you as the unique person you are. You are called to bring God’s wisdom and glory to those around you. You are blessed to be a blessing.
But how do you do this?
